A*TEENS were a Swedish pop music group from Stockholm, formed by Niklas Berg in 1998 as an ABBA tribute band called ABBA-Teens and later renamed to A*TEENS. They were composed of Marie Serneholt, Amit Sebastian Paul, Dhani Lennevald, and Sara Lumholdt. The band's debut album "The ABBA Generation" became a success around the world and it was reported that 6 million albums had been sold worldwide until 2001. After six years together, the band announced they would take a break in 2004 after the release of their "Greatest Hits" album. Each song from that album became a Top 20 hit in at least one country around the world. In April 2006 it was officially announced that the A*TEENS are going parted ways. The reason: As all the members have started their own projects and the A*TEENS are nothing but a memory from now on.
